In the early morning you will explore Monrovia by first having pure coffee breakfast at the US Embassy Suites and then visiting the National Museum, the First Presidential palace/pavilion ever built in Liberia and The Centennial Pavilion where all Liberia presidents are inaugurated and where the longest serving president was buried. After this you will visit the Providence Island, the most important historic place in Liberia. It is where the freed slaves were deposited when repatriated from the great United States of America. This marks the beginning of the formation of the first African Republic. After, you will visit the second highest education institution ever established in West Africa, University of Liberia. And you will view the most recent Presidential Palace, Executive Mansion and other branches of Government. After this we head to Libassa Ecolodge, Beach and Lagoon Resort while viewing some important parts of the city.

After breakfast you visit the Unity Conference center and head to the Blue Lake where you can view the natural environment and swim if you like. The water is naturally blue and the view is amazing. From the blue lake to Tiwai Island Sanctuary through Bo Waterside, Liberia/Sierra Leone Border. At Tiwai Island, you will enjoy local meals prepared by community cooks and take nature walks where you will hopefully spot red, black and white colobus monkeys. There is also the opportunity to take an optional river cruise around the island but looking at the time of travel this may be done in the morning before leaving for Bo.
